dear friends,aunt clara is growing while we are looking at the football matches in south africa,i think i will make the quilt 2,10x2,10 meters square,and then i am thinking about the border,

dear friends outthere,number seven is done but there are 3 or 4 more rows to sew and of course they become bigger and bigger,but...

look what i bought a few days ago

i found it on ebay,and it was in my mail a few days ago.isn`t it cute.seems to be really old,look at the two pincushions.i love old sewing supplies so much,and sometimes i cannot resist to buy such things.

the seventh round is half way through,seventeen stars left,puuh,and the detail picture of aunt claras quilt is for maria,who send me some scraps,one was this with a bottle of wine,that fit just perfect,thank you so much.

aunt claras quilt

here is my new project:it will be my version of aunt claras quilt from the book: the fabric of society.it is perfect to sew in the garden the car or elsewhere.in the original there is much embroidery in every tile,but i think it works pretty good with scraps too.

my hexagon star quilt is finished

it is finally finished since last night,and it is a summerspread like the original,it is not quilted and has no batting.
