while i am waiting for the postman

hello friends,while i am waiting for the postman to bring me a new quilting template for the tree quilt, i cleaned up a bit in my sewingroom, and i found this tool, it was a gift from my sister in law years ago, and i had nearly forgotten,that i had it. you know , i need to do something with my hands, and so i began a clamshell quilt, this tool is just fantastic, you only need to draft the clamshell with the seem allowance on the right side of the fabric, and then you can start to sew, and i wanted to make a clamshell quilt for years, so i grabbed my 5 inch charm packs ... and i am off sewing, have a nice weekend all of you, susi

dear friends,i once bought this bookTrolle, Wichtel, Königskinder: John Bauers nordische Märchenwelt. Mit ca. 30 Märchen ,because i love to read fairytales,but the best of the book were the illustrations from a man called john bauer, you can see the paintings of him here,John Bauer Art Prints ,it is art deco style of the best,and i decided to make a quilt .so i drafted some of the pictures in my eq6 programm,and the blocks with landscapes are from photographies i made in sweden,but i had no ideas for the border a very long time,until i now began to sew the tree...and that was it!i did not need a border for the blocks,i needed a piece for the middle instead,and this is how it looks like,and there will be another border around it. some pieces need a lot of thinking! have a nice week,susi
