the top is finally finished

my hexagon rosettes quilttop is finished and i am happy how it turned out. it will be handquilted,but that is my favourite work,and here it is cold and stormy wheather,autumn comes, so that will be cosy to do.

I am a little more than half way through with my hexagon-rosettes quilt,and it is fun to do,tomorrow begins a quiltshow here in sweden,and i will be there the whole weekend,it is quite big,you can look under " quiltköping" and find some photos from 2008,after the show there will be photos from 2010 too,it is really a paradise for quilters in the north of europe.

aunt clara is ready for the show

my dear aunt claras quilt is finished!! and i really like her.i needed 6 rolls of pearl cotton thread nr. 8 for the quilting,and that is not so much,i think.she got a black satin binding. i have sent 207 pdf-files from aunt claras quilt until today.

some more hexagon-rosettes,looks like a bunch of 65 panncakes,but i need a few more.

nothing against something new

there is nothing to say against something new to sew,well, i think. and while i am quilting aunt claras quilt,wich will take a while...,i found this project,and i have quite a lot old swedish curtain fabrics that fit perfect for those hexagon rosettes,i need to sew 8 more of them,and then creme white hexies between all of them, so there is a lot to do ...
